Premiere of Three Meditations on “Hope”, for solo piano

Pianist Renee Cometa Briggs will premiere Douglas Anderson’s Three Meditations on “Hope” at 3 pm on Sunday June 2 at the Riverdale Presbyterian Church.  These pieces, using ‘leftover’ materials from the third movement of Anderson’s Symphony (Four Moods for Orchestra), are simple yet complex, and thoroughly thought-provoking.  The performance will be on a concert by di.vi.sion, which will include music by Haydn, Beethoven, Newell, and Anderson’s early work, Trio for Clarinet, Cello and Piano.
